“Eli will melt your heart,” say officials with the Humane Society of Northwest Georgia. He is an Australian terrier mix of about 35 pounds.
“If you are wanting a sweet, loving, adorable and gentle dog, you’ve found him,” officials say in a press release. “This 5-year-old does very well with other dogs, cats and children. Very loyal and attentive to his owner. Come meet Eli as soon as possible. You’ll kick yourself if you miss out on this special pup.”

The Humane Society is open to the public on Fridays from 3 to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1210 Veterans Drive in Dalton.
