LONACONING — Nathaniel Rivera exploded for 190 yards and two touchdowns to help the Personal Best Patriots to a 32-6 victory over the Miners on Saturday at Westmar Middle in Cumberland Area Youth Football League Division 1 action.
The Patriots (4-0) led 8-0 after the first quarter, 16-0 at the half and 32-0 entering the fourth.
Rivera scored touchdowns of 82 and three yards. JC Lee completed 4 of 7 passes for 100 yards and a 70-yard touchdown to Karson Harden, who added four carries for 45 yards.
Landry Harden had eight rushes for 60 yards and an eight-yard score.
Desmond Sipes was a perfect 4 for 4 on PATs, and Brayden Painter recovered a fumble.
The Patriots’ leading tacklers were Bubby Hawley (12), Keymoni Metz (10), Painter (eight), Landry Harden (eight), Josiah Vaughn (eight), Jaden Jacobs (five), Karson Harden (five), Landon Tyson (five) and Jihad Bell (five).
Isaiah Wilt and Bryson Glass were named the Miners’ most valuable players, linking up for a passing touchdown in the fourth quarter for their lone touchdown.
The unbeaten Patriots face the Ridgeley Rams on Sunday at 2 p.m.
