GLENS FALLS — On Sept 30, the AuSable Valley cross country team traveled and competed in the K-Dawg Invitational in Glens Falls.
They brought some hardware back with them.
The boys modified team dominated the competition to win the championship with a score of 26 points. Second place was was mere 34 points behind them at 60.
Reece Long and Caidogan Greenley finished first and second with Long taking home the title with a time of 7:49. Greenley was just behind him at 8:10.
Jayden Camagna finished in fifth, Vincent Mitchell crossed the line in eight and Van Slater continued the strong showing for AVCS finishing in 12th.
Harry Slate and Skyler Trombley also medaled finishing in 17th and 20th place, respectively.
Luke Goddeau rounded out the day for the boys team with a time of 15:10.
On the girl’s modified, Evelyn Akey was the highest Patriot finishing in 44th place at 11:30. The modified team placed eighth overall with 195 points.
On the varsity side of things, Celton Dupuis finished in 13th place at 17:00 to claim a medal. The team finished in 21st place with 55k points.
Emma Pelkey was the highest finisher on the girls varsity side, crossing the line at 24:10, good for 83rd place.

Girls Varsity:
