NEW RICHLAND — An Owatonna man has been charged following reports of criminal sexual conduct involving a victim under the age of thirteen.
Cruz Corona, 71, has been charged in Waseca County District Court on two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.
A report to law enforcement on Aug. 5 claims that Corona assaulted a victim known to him in New Richland, according to the criminal complaint. A report had previously been made to the Minnesota Prairie County Alliance involving Corona. The victim was in sixth grade and alone with him at the time of the reported sexual assault.
Corona reportedly denied touching the victim in a sexual manner and he will first appear before the court on Sept. 8
