POTOMAC PARK — Outdoor Power scored four runs in the fifth inning Thursday and held off a late rally by T&E Arborist to win 9-5 and advance to the Junior Division championship series.
Outdoor Power (16-2) took the first game of the semifinal series 10-6 on Wednesday.
Clay Bailey and Max Fradiska led Outdoor Power at the plate Thursday with two hits apiece. Jaxon Lowery scored three runs.
Bailey was the winning pitcher, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits in 5 1/3 innings pitched. He struck out seven and walked three.
Josiah Dudiak pitched in relief.
Bradley Ziler was the losing pitcher for T&E, allowing four runs (two earned) on eight hits in four innings of work, fanning five. Jaren Vasquez and Jeremiah Woolard entered as relief arms.
Woolard doubled at the plate. Ziler and Reid Robison hit safely twice each.
Outdoor Power will play Cumberland Rotary in the championship series next week.
