OSF HealthCare Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville has announced an interim president after Ned Hill announced his resignation, effective July 1.
Hill has accepted a chief executive officer position at HCA Healthcare in Tampa, Florida. He has been president at OSF Sacred Heart since August 2021.
“I am unable to fully express the level of gratitude I feel for my time here at OSF Sacred Heart,” Hill said. “Over the past few years, I have learned many valuable leadership and life lessons that have helped me be a better person, father and leader.”
“We thank Ned for his years of service to our Ministry and wish him well in his new position,” said Carol Friesen, chief executive officer of the OSF HealthCare eastern region. “Under Ned’s leadership, the team at OSF Sacred Heart has made tremendous strides in improved patient experience, quality and stewardship. We remain committed to that pursuit.”
J.T. Barnhart, president of OSF HealthCare Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana will be interim president at OSF Sacred Heart in addition to his role at OSF Heart of Mary. Barnhart has led OSF Heart of Mary since February 2023. OSF HealthCare leaders will evaluate candidates for the next permanent president at OSF Sacred Heart.
