An Albion Central School District teacher is facing several charges involving sexual abuse of a minor in the Town of Albion.
Orleans County Sheriff Christopher Bourke said Josefino Paz, 58, of Brockport, surrendered at the Orleans County Jail following a criminal investigation conducted by the sheriff’s office. Paz was charged with:
• Forcible touching
• Third-degree sexual abuse
• Endangering the welfare of a child
The investigation determined that the incident involved a juvenile victim occurred within the Town of Albion.
Paz is employed by the Albion Central School District as an English as a second language teacher. The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office coordinated this investigation with Albion School District Officials, School Resource Deputy Ashleigh Stornelli, and Sheriff’s Investigators Kevin Colonna and Devon Pahuta. Upon becoming aware of this incident, Albion School Officials took decisive and immediate action removing Paz and cutting access to Albion School District property
Paz was processed at the Orleans County Jail and held pending CAP court arraignment. A temporary Order of Protection was issued. Additional court proceedings are pending.
