SHORT GAP, W.Va. — No. 1 Northern swept Frankfort on Monday, winning 25-15, 25-14 and 25-18.
Allahna Lacy finished with four aces, nine kills, a block and four digs for the Huskies (13-0).
Demi Ross recorded three aces, 10 kills, an assist and four digs while Marisa Perez added one ace, two kills, 23 assists and four digs.
While Frankfort’s stats were not provided, Northern head coach Jamie Bailey praised Paula Ganoe’s performance for the Falcons (6-21).
“Ganoe dominated her side of the net, blocking us and killing the ball when in the front row,” Bailey said. “When in the back row, she was digging like crazy too.”
Frankfort won the junior varsity game 25-23, 22-25 and 15-13.
Mazzy Morel posted an ace, two kills, eight assists and two digs while Mary Thrush had one ace, seven kills and four digs for Northern.
The Huskies play at Bishop Walsh (6-13) on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
The Falcons host No. 2 Fort Hill (9-5) on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
Mtn. Ridge 3 No. 5 Allegany 1
CUMBERLAND — Mountain Ridge won a four-set match at No. 5 Allegany on Monday, winning 25-21, 20-25, 25-23 and 25-13.
Claire Buskirk finished with 17 digs and two kills for the Campers (6-8, 1-7 Western Maryland Athletic Conference).
Mykah Baker recorded 10 assists, six digs and an ace while Danica Knight added two digs, five blocks, five kills and two aces.
Alco swept the junior varsity game, winning 25-13 in both sets.
Sadee Baker recorded five kills, an ace and a dig, Lydia Imes added seven assists, four digs and an ace, Eliza Briarer added six digs and an ace and Lily Cross had six aces and six digs for the Campers.
Stats for Mountain Ridge were not provided.
Both teams end the regular season on the road on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m.
Allegany plays No. 3 Hampshire (20-8-2) while the Miners (6-8, 4-3 WestMAC) head to No. 4 Southern (8-9-1, 1-5 WestMAC).
