Berlin Holiday Tournament
BERLIN, Pa. — Northern split a pair of games at the Berlin Holiday Tournament, winning 74-53 over Perry on Tuesday after falling 88-55 to Richland Monday.
Against Perry, Jayden McNally scored a game-high 33 points, scoring 14 of the Huskies’ (4-4) 22 points in the third quarter.
Ansen Miller finished with 15 points while Caleb Hinebaugh scored 10.
Landon Boylan led the Commodores (3-10) with 24 points.
Trailing 14-12 after one and leading 35-34 at the break, Northern controlled the third quarter to take a 57-42 lead.
Against Richland, Jamere Christan led both teams with 32 points for the Rams (3-5).
Christan scored 22 points in the second half and 12 of Richland’s 22 points in the third.
Anson McCutty finished with 15 points while Noah Lushko and Arnold Mugerna each scored 13 for the Rams.
Hinebaugh led the Huskies with 14 points while McNally scored 13.
Richland led 22-14, 43-29 and 65-48 through three.
Northern heads to No. 3 Fort Hill (3-2) on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Chris Johnson Christmas Classic
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — Jesse Kumper scored 38 of Lewis County’s 73 points, leading to a 73-64 win over Keyser Tuesday at the Chris Johnson Christmas Classic at Bridgeport High.
Kumper scored 19 in the second half and 12 of the Minutemen’s (1-2) 23 points in the fourth.
Kyle Hayhurst scored 16 for Lewis County.
Grayson Lambka, Camden Owens and Lane Champion each scored 12 points for the Golden Tornado (2-3).
Keyser led 14-8 after one before Lewis County took a 33-27 halftime lead and 50-45 heading to the fourth.
The Golden Tornado play Bridgeport Wednesday at 2 p.m.
