North Mankato woman dies in Hwy. 22 crash

A North Mankato woman was killed Sunday evening in a head-on crash on Highway 22 south of Mankato near St. Clair.
The Minnesota State Patrol said Mary Gay Hlavac, 67, died from injuries resulting from the crash, which was reported around 5 p.m. Sunday.. Hlavac’s Cadillac XT4 was traveling northbound and a pickup truck driven by Michael Charles Shoeb, 56, of Amboy was southbound when the two collided.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
