NORTH MANKATO — Hazardous winter driving conditions today have prompted officials to close a section of Lee Boulevard Hill.
The section between Lor Ray Drive and Belgrade Avenue will remain closed until further notice, a North Mankato press release.
City officials also have declared a 12-hour snow emergency that will go into effect at 12:01 a.m.
During the snow emergency, parking is not allowed along city streets so snow can be removed quickly and efficiently. Owners of any vehicles parked on city streets during the snow emergency will be ticketed and vehicles will be be towed at their expense.
Residents may resume parking on city streets at 12:01 p.m. Monday, December 29th , ow plow crews are working to minimize icing on streets and keeping the city’s main routes open during today’s storm.
