Players from the North Shore certainly had a say for the victorious boys and girls’ hockey teams at Sunday’s Massachusetts Hockey Coaches Association (MSHCA) Senior All-Star Games in Worcester.
Forward Ava Buckley of Peabody scored the game-winning goal for the North girls in their 4-0 shutout of the South stars. She was joined on the squad by two of her Peabody/Lynnfield/North Reading teammates, Alyse Mutti and Chloe Gromko, as well as head coach Michelle Roach, for the victors.
In the nightcap, the North boys doubled up their South counterparts, 6-3. Kyle Hart of Marblehead had a goal and an assist, Brady Leonard of Essex Tech picked up two helpers, Colin Churches of Bishop Fenwick added one assist, and goalie A.J. Farese of St. John’s Prep played the third period and stopped all but one shot that came his way.
