Nor’easter leaving its mark across Greater Newburyport

NEWBURYPORT — High winds and pelting rain is pummeling Greater Newburyport today as a massive nor’easter continues its way through the region.
Around noon Sunday, Newburyport’s High Street was closed between Federal and Lime streets after a large tree damaged by wind leaned over the road.
On Plum Island, Newbury police officers were stopping onlookers from walking along the beach, according to one visitor.
