BLOOMINGTON — No injuries were reported after a farm tractor rolled over and caught fire in Garrett County Saturday morning.
“The Garrett County Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call reporting that a farm tractor had traveled over an embankment into a wooded area, overturned and caught fire,” said Justin Orendorf, director of Garrett County Emergency Management. “Fortunately, no injuries were reported.”
Units from Allegany and Garrett counties responded to the incident at approximately 7:30 a.m. in the 3000 block of Walnut Bottom Road, an Allegany County Joint Communications Center spokesperson said.
Brush trucks and ATVs were utilized to access the area due to remote terrain and used foam to extinguish the fire.
Orendorf said that firefighters operated on scene for approximately an hour.
