BOONSBORO — No. 1 Fort Hill jumped out to 35-point halftime lead en route to an 88-29 rout of Boonsboro on Thursday night.
The Sentinels (7-2) led 25-6 after the first quarter, 52-17 at the half and 74-24 entering the fourth.
Deshaun Brown paced the Sentinels with a game-high 22 points, making three 3-pointers. Gavin Carney (16 points), Steven Spencer (12) and Jabril Daniels (12) also finished in double figures.
Landon Sensabaugh and Daniels made two 3-pointers each.
Boonsboro’s Ish Badaki, a 6-foot-5 freshman, led the Warriors with eight points. He made both of his teams 3s.
Fort Hill won the junior varsity game 50-42. Landyn Green scored a Fort Hill-best 15 points.
Fort Hill is at Keyser (4-6) on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
Northern 59, Hancock 22
ACCIDENT — Northern was dominant on Thursday, especially in the second quarter in a convincing victory over Hancock.
The Huskies (5-6) outscored the Panthers 21-1 in the second quarter.
Northern led 9-6 after one quarter and 30-7 at halftime. The Huskies were up 47-18 after three quarters.
Abe Schlipp scored a game-high 18 points for Northern. Alex Knauff added nine and Kyle Broadwater had eight.
J. Anderson and I. Demory each scored five points for Hancock. First names were not provided.
The Huskies head to Frostburg to face Mountain Ridge on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
