The Niagara Regional Theatre Guild, formerly the Niagara Falls Little Theatre has opened its 104th season presenting “Sweet Charity,” which runs through Oct. 4.
Despite her job as a “dancer” at the seedy Fan-Dango Ballroom, Charity Hope Valentine is an eternal optimist, but she may just be the unluckiest romantic in New York City! The musical classic “Sweet Charity” is a warm, touching, and humorous look at Charity’s trials and tribulations as she repeatedly gives her heart, and her savings, to the wrong man. With classic songs like Big Spender,” “If My Friends Could See Me Now,” and “Rhythm Of Life,” this funny, touching musical, originally staged and choreographed by Bob Fosse, will keep you humming along all night.
Directed by M. Joseph Fratello. The cast includes Charity by Larissa Hughes; Nickie by Molly McGrath; Helene by Juliana Cousins; Vittorio Vidal by Derek Krueger; Oscar Lindquist by Caleb Paxton; Herman by Gabe DiMaio; Ursula March by Chloe Karson; Daddy Brubeck by Christopher Parada; Carmen by Kristina Tomasello; Suzanne by Anne Talkington; Frenchy by Jessica Hollister; Betsy by Sarah Kojm; Ensemble: Asher Freudenhammer-Glass; Joe DiMaio; Kelsey Roehner; Lena Mecklenburg; Logan Comstock; Mason Ames; Rick Montesanti; and Rick Peresie.
