The pedestrian struck by a car on Niagara Falls Boulevard Saturday night continues to recover at Erie County Medical Center.
The 44-year-old Niagara Falls man was hit about 10:30 p.m. near the Williams Road intersection, according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.
The man was walking in the westbound lane of the Boulevard when he was struck by a Chevy Malibu heading west, a preliminary investigation showed.
The man was taken by ambulance to Mount St. Mary’s Hospital, then flown to ECMC for treatment of possible life-threatening injuries.
The 70-year-old driver of the Chevy is a Town of Amherst resident and is cooperating with the investigation.
The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit is continuing to determine the circumstances of the accident.
