The treasures of the Louvre Museum in Paris are the subject of a new book by Elaine Sciolino, who was born and raised in Niagara Falls. Sciolino, who went on to become the Paris Bureau chief and a popular columnist for the New York Times, is the author of “Adventures In The Louvre: How To Fall In Love With The World’s Greatest Museum.”
Sciolino, whose previous best-selling books about France’s capital city are “The Only Street In Paris: Life On The Rue des Martyrs” and “The Seine: The River That Made Paris,” will be appearing at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Larkin Square, which is at 745 Seneca St. in Buffalo.
The author, who lives in Paris, will engage in a conversation with Leslie Zemsky from Larkin Square. Sciolino will be signing copies of “Adventures At The Louvre” following the talk. Talking Leaves will be selling copies of her book at the event, which is free and open to the public. No reservations are needed.
