The Niagara County health department has released the dates and locations of its 2026 free rabies immunization clinics. State law requires all cats, dogs and ferrets to have current rabies vaccinations from four months of age onward.
Pet owners must make an appointment to bring their pet(s) to any county clinic. Registration will open on the first business day of the week of the clinic; go to www.niagaracounty.gov/rabiesclinic or call 716-439-7490. Note the paperwork and pet containment requirements.
This is the clinic schedule:
• April 11 — 9 a.m. to noon at the Town of Somerset Highway Garage, 8700 Haight Road
• June 6 — 9 a.m. to noon at Hyde Park Oasis/Centennial Pavilion, 911 Robbins Drive, Niagara Falls
• July 11 — 9 a.m. to noon at the Town of Wilson Highway Garage, 13356 Wilson-Cambria Road
• Sept. 12 — 9 a.m. to noon at the Town of Lockport Highway Department, 6560 Dysinger Road
• Dec. 5 — 9 a.m. to noon at the City of North Tonawanda Public Works Department, 758 Erie Ave.
