NEWBURYPORT – Come join The Birds & Brews Club on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 5 pm at The Riverwalk Brewery on 40 Parker Street, Newburyport.
That day, the birding and social group welcomes ecologist, author, and conservationist Jajean Rose who will present “The Birds of Ecuador.”
Rose is the director of the Jocotoco Conservation Foundation, as well as a lifelong, passionate birder. Rose will discuss the birds of Ecuador and his decades of conservation work in the Amazon, Andes, and Galapagos Islands.
Ecuador is one of the most biodiverse countries in the world, and the Jocotoco Reserves are home to more than 10% of all bird species on earth. Learn more at jocotoco.org.
Attendees are encouraged to wear ugly bird T-shirts or sweaters. Prizes will be handed out for the craziest sweater or T-shirt as well as additional free raffle prizes at the door.
