NEWBURYPORT — Tickets for the Newburyport Chocolate Tour, taking place Saturday, Oct. 3, from noon to 4 p.m., are now on sale, according to organizers.
Now in its 23rd year, the tour features the new Chocolate Market in downtown Newburyport. Only a limited number of tickets are available, and chocolate lovers are encouraged to purchase early at chocolatetour.org before the event sells out.
True to the Chocolate Tour’s motto – “Be Happy. Eat Chocolate. Do Good.” – the tour and Chocolate Market blend fun, flavor and philanthropy. The tour typically welcomes more than 400 people annually, raising over $140,000 for local nonprofits since 2003.
The market builds on that legacy as a separate, curated marketplace where guests can shop directly from the region’s finest chocolate makers.

Community Service of Newburyport has been a lifeline for local families since 1912, providing economic and social support for residents of Newbury, Newburyport and West Newbury.
Greenstone Gives supports children and families facing health and financial challenges, funding extracurricular activities for kids, providing social-emotional support, and strengthening community ties during some of life’s most difficult moments.
The General Charitable Society of Newburyport is one of the region’s oldest charitable institutions. Founded with a mission to lend a helping hand to neighbors struggling through poverty, the society has spent more than 175 years quietly helping Newburyport residents maintain financial stability and independence.
The event is actively seeking event sponsors and volunteers to help make it a success. Interested individuals or businesses should contact info@chocolatetour.org to learn about opportunities. Community service hours are available for students requiring them.
In addition, chocolate vendors are also invited to apply for space at the market. Chocolatiers, confectioners, and artisan cacao producers of all kinds – from truffle makers to hot chocolate purveyors – are welcome.
