NEWBURYPORT — Newburyport Art (NAA) presents the Members’ Winter Juried Show, juried by a special committee of artists: Judy Miller Bailey, Tom Bailey, Rosalie Cuticchia, Verne Orlosk and Susan Spellman. The show is on view in the Sargent, Hills, Mural and Hartson Galleries through Feb. 25.
The exhibition features 124 artworks selected from a pool of nearly 300 submissions. Artwork selected includes a variety of mediums – painting, drawing, sculpture, design & fine craft, mixed media, photography, printmaking and digital art. This show was juried by a panel of five artist members – Judy Miller Bailey, Tom Bailey, Rosalie Cuticchia, Verne Orlosk and Susan Spellman – all have been longtime active supporters and members of the NAA.
Together, they bring immense depth and breadth from their artistic practices, with strong expertise and experience across art forms and subject matter.
The Members’ Winter Juried Show was made possible with the support of the Newburyport Bank Charitable Foundation. Visitors can expect to see a wide variety of works ranging from contemporary to traditional, as well as abstract to representational interpretations. All works are for sale.
Running concurrently in the mini gallery is the winter gift shop, with small works and artisan items available until Mar. 10.
The galleries are free and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, from 11 to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Newburyport Art is closed on Mondays. The ground-floor Hills Gallery has an accessible entrance. More information, as well as an online gallery is available at newburyportart.org.
Founded in 1948, Newburyport Art is dedicated to promoting and exhibiting members’ work and to providing art education and access to the visual arts for the entire community.
