SALISBURY — More than 300 hats and mittens/gloves were delivered to The Pettengill House on Friday, the culmination of the library’s recently completed winter gear drive.
Newbury Town Library Head of Circulation Liz Flaherty and Assistant Director Katherine Szuplat delivered the goods to Pettengill House Executive Director Tiffany Nigro. Since 2021, the Lunt Street library has run the drive each December.
The Pettengill House is a nonprofit community social service agency providing comprehensive case management, basic needs support, emergency assistance, crisis intervention, and an array of essential programs and services for individuals, children and families of all ages across nine Massachusetts communities.
It serves Amesbury, Byfield, Groveland, Merrimac, Newbury, Newburyport, Rowley, Salisbury and West Newbury.
