SUNY Niagara has named Salvatore Durante vice president of administration. In this position, Durante acts as the college’s chief financial officer and oversees its information technology, facilities and business services functions.
Prior to coming to SUNY Niagara, Durante held several executive positions within the nonprofit and health care sectors, most recently serving as chief financial officer of the Western New York Integrated Care Collaborative in Buffalo. He also has more than a decade of experience teaching graduate-level grant writing and management courses at the University at Buffalo.
“We are fortunate to add such an accomplished leader to our college,” said SUNY Niagara President Lloyd Holmes. “Sal’s depth of knowledge from day-to-day operations to budget development makes him an ideal fit for SUNY Niagara.”
Durante holds an MBA from the University at Buffalo. He also earned a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and human services there.
