It was certainly a wild winter season in the Merrimack Valley Conference pools with Haverhill High sweeping to its first regular season title in 30 years and Methuen-Tewksbury taking the co-ed division.
Andover assumed its usual power role, taking the MVC Championship meet for the girls and Billerica surprised in winning the co-ed Division.
Recently, the league’s coaches got together to salute the best with their season-ending awards.
Andover High’s Vivian Moulson, a two-event state champion, earned the girls Swimmer of the Year Award. Mackenzie Gibbons of Notre Dame Academy took home the co-ed division honor. Haverhill’s Julia Plassman earned Diver of the Year honors.
Haverhill High’s Sean Glasheen earned the Coach of the Year, while Central Catholic claimed the league’s Sportsmanship Award.
