FROSTBURG — Top-ranked Mountain Ridge scored seven first-half goals and rolled to an 8-0 rout of Clear Spring on Saturday.
Kyla Farris and Ava Armstrong score two goals each, and Bella Warner, Fiona Ruddell, Abby Malone and Allie Knieriem tallied one apiece. Armstrong, Ruddell and Myla Bernard had assists.
Mountain Ridge took 40 shots to Clear Spring’s one, a 28-0 margin in shots on goal and 15-0 edge in corner kicks. The Blazers’ Alyssalynn Barr made 19 saves.
Mountain Ridge (4-0) is at Hampshire (3-5-1) on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

ROMNEY, W.Va. — No. 2 Allegany out-shot Hampshire on Friday 41-3, leading to a one-sided victory.
The Campers (3-0-1) combined for 30 shots on goal compared to 12 for the Trojans (3-5-1).
Ella Shade and Madalyn Bucy each recorded hat tricks for Allegany.
Bucy scored twice in the first half and added another in the second half, all off assists from Desi Hilton.
Shade scored in the first half off a Surae Stewart assist, followed by two in the second half off an assist by Harper Farrell and a penalty kick.
The Campers finished with a 2-0 lead in corner kicks.
Evalette Lease recorded 25 saves for Hampshire while Brilynn Beatty had two for Alco.
The Campers host Frankfort (1-7) on Wednesday at 5 p.m.

Della Knight and Addisyn Pyles both had two goals and two assists, Sarah Fagga garnered two goals and one assist, Kailey Loy tallid two goals, Alyssa Strother ended with a goal and two assist, Bri Cosner scored once, and Madison Howell had an assist.
