Investigators with Meridian Police Department’s Criminal Investigative Division announced a number of arrests Friday in outstanding investigations.
Arrests include:
— Frederick Hudson, Latonya Hudson and Shelby Ham were arrested on Aug. 12 after officers responded to the area of Highway 145 and Grand Avenue to a call of someone loading wires from AT&T into a vehicle. All three were charged with receiving stolen property with bond set at $25,000.
— Eric Tezeno was arrested Aug. 10 after officers responded to the 4500 block of Newell Road to a call that a man had been assaulted with a box cutter. Tenzeno was charged with aggravated assault with bond set at $250,000. The victim was taken to the hospital
— Jytez Brewster was arrested on Aug. 1 and charged with taking away of a motor vehicle. Bond was set at $10,000.
— Richard Carson was arrested and charged with tampering with physical evidence on Aug. 15 in connection to a shooting near 40th Avenue and Paulding Street. The victim was airlifted to Jackson and later died of their injuries. An investigation is ongoing.
— Zedrick Wilson was arrested on Aug. 4 and charged with two counts of possession of controlled substance with two counts of firearm enhancement and possession of a machine gun following a traffic stop on Highway 39 where officers found a gun with a switch on it.
— Demetric Young was arrested on Aug. 16 with aggravated assault and felon carrying a concealed weapon after officers responded to a shooting in the 900 block of 45th Avenue. The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life threatening. Bond was set at $250,000 for the aggravated assault and $50,000 for the concealed firearms charge.
