MONTGOMERY — A motorcyclist from Montgomery died following a collision with an SUV Sunday morning just outside Montgomery.
David Edward Johnston, 59, sustained fatal injuries in the collision, the State Patrol said. He was not wearing a helmet.
The crash occurred just before 9 a.m. when a 2020 Buick Enclave driven by Megan Cecilia Holicky, 53, of Le Center, was heading northbound on Le Sueur County Road 3 and the 2024 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Johnston, east on Highway 21, collided in the intersection.
Johnston was transported to North Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
