LAVALE — A Morgantown, West Virginia, woman is being held at the Allegany County Detention Center on several drug charges after Allegany County Sheriff’s Office deputies stopped her vehicle Friday on Winchester Road and discovered a large quantity of suspected cocaine.
Laura Kelso, 41, was arrested about 6 p.m. after a search of the vehicle led to the seizure of the suspected drugs, according to sheriff’s office Maj. Dave Morgan.
Kelso was charged with three CDS counts including possession with intent to distribute narcotics, possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
“Friday night we had additional manpower in the community serving grand jury indictments,” Morgan said. “This traffic stop was unrelated to the indictments; however, it is another example of quality law enforcement from the deputies at the sheriff’s office.”
