Meanwhile, a coffee table book is in the works celebrating the canal bicentennial and our great city. Keep an eye out for it starting in mid August. Copies will be available at the Lockport Union-Sun & Journal office, the Erie Canal Discovery Center, The Niagara History Center and other places throughout the city. It’ll be a great keepsake and gift.
The city’s bicentennial committee will be at Lockport Community Farmers Market Community Market this Saturday, and again on Aug. 9, Aug. 23 and Aug. 30, selling our awesome Erie Canal Bicentennial merchandise. We will also be at the Lockport Food Fest selling our T-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies and other items.
