TRAVERSE CITY — Another round of freezing rain is expected to move through part of northern Lower Michigan.
The National Weather Service Gaylord office issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 1 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday for Grand Traverse, Benzie and Kalkaska counties, as well as several others to the south and east of the Traverse City area.
Light freezing rain is expected, with total ice accumulation up to 0.1 inch, according to the weather service. Temperatures should rise above freezing into the afternoon — with highs in the mid-30s — changing precipitation over to mostly rain or a rain/snow mix.
AccuWeather’s Wintercast for Traverse City shows 0.05-0.15 inch of ice is the most probable outlook for Tuesday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.
