Mineral man killed when train hits stuck pickup

SPRINGFIELD, W.Va. — A Mineral County man was killed late Friday when a train hit a pickup stuck on tracks in the Springfield area.
Harmon Lee Crites Sr., 82, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 11:10 p.m. accident in the area of Rock Bottom Lane, the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office said.
No one else was injured and no foul play is suspected, the sheriff’s office said.
