The City of Meridian is hosting a parade Friday, March 22, in honor of the Meridian High School boy’s basketball team, winners of the 2024 Class 7A state championship.
The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Singing Brakeman Park in downtown Meridian.
The MHS Wildcats defeated Clinton 54-50 on March 2 to claim the school’s fourth state championship title in program history.
Due to ongoing construction in the area around city hall, the parade route and lineup will begin at Signing Brakeman Park on Front Street and continue down the street, where the parade will make a right on 22nd Avenue and conclude at Dumont Plaza.
Meridian residents and MHS alumni are encouraged to come out and show their support for the team.
