Metallica just extended their record-breaking “M72 World Tour” into 2027, and one of the 12 newly added North American stadium dates includes a stop at the new Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park on June 8 with special guests Limp Bizkit and Avatar joining the bill.
Metallica joins Kenny Chesney as the first two full-length concerts announced for the Buffalo Bills’ brand-new stadium. It’ll be the band’s first time back in Buffalo since Aug. 11, 2022, when the heavy metal legends packed the Bills’ stadium with support from Greta Van Fleet and Ice Nine Kills.
Metallica is bringing its signature in-the-round production, with the stage positioned at the 50-yard line and the Snake Pit sitting in the center, giving fans a full 360-degree view of James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo. Unlike much of the “M72″ run, which leaned on the band’s two-show “No Repeat Weekend” format, each of the newly announced 2027 dates is a standalone concert.
Metallica launched the “M72 World Tour” in April 2023 in support of its album “72 Seasons.” Since then, the tour has grown into one of the biggest of the band’s four-decade career, with 99 shows across 26 countries and nearly 5 million fans through its most recent stop at London Stadium in July 2026.
The 2027 North American leg kicks off May 8 at BC Place in Vancouver and wraps June 19 at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, hitting a dozen cities in between. The run picks up after Metallica finishes its “Life Burns Faster” residency at Sphere in Las Vegas, which runs into March 2027.
Tickets for Metallica’s 2027 “M72 World Tour” can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
