LAWRENCE — Rich Padova, a history professor at Merrimack College, is offering free copies of his latest publication, a booklet called “FDR to Biden: The First 100 Days.”
The booklet takes a look at the crucial first 100 days of presidential administrations to examine what actions were taken and what was accomplished.
The tradition of studying the first 100 days of presidential administrations was begun by scholars and journalists in 1933 when FDR came into office during the throes of the Great Depression and took immediate action to address the situation.
Every president since then, although not coming into office during the exact same circumstances as FDR, has had the early days of their administrations examined by scholars and journalists.
Complimentary copies of “FDR to Biden: The First 100 Days,” are available in the gift shop at Lawrence Heritage State Park, 1 Jackson St. at Canal Street.
Free parking is available in a visitor lot behind Lawrence Heritage, accessed from Mill Street.
For more information contact Padova at 978-475-0518.
