The Artist Corner in this edition of Meridian Life magazine takes a look at Dennis Whitlock, who lives in the Clarkdale community and handcrafts one-of-a-kind wood cutting boards. The boards are beautiful and uniquely patterned, made from durable hardwoods. Also featured in the latest edition are Miss Mississippi USA Sydney Russell, who is set to crown her successor in early April; former Meridian Community College instructor, the late Darlene Withers; and several springtime festivals, including Sipp & Savor, the Allie Cat Run and Festival, and the Jimmie Rodgers Music Festival. The latest edition of Meridian Life, a free community magazine showcasing the people and communities of Lauderdale County, is available now and can be found at many area retail and business locations. The publication, which is produced by The Meridian Star, is also available at the newspaper office in downtown Meridian while supplies last.
