ANDOVER — Ellie Mental Health, a mental health company offering accessible mental health services, has opened its first Merrimack Valley location at 2 Dundee Park, Suite 301.
The Andover clinic is locally owned and operated by Jennifer and Mike Hardock and Nicole Fagone, clinical director.
“Ellie was proudly founded on the principal of destigmatizing mental health,” said co-founder Erin Pash. “The mental health industry is full of barriers, and we’ve made it our goal to fill the gap and find innovative ways to break down these barriers for the communities we serve.”
“When we were doing research on companies, Ellie really stood out to us as a way to give something back to the community we love, where we both grew up and also raised our own four children,” Mike Hardock said in a statement.
The clinic offers in-person and telehealth appointments.
“Now that we are more established, we have learned about the needs of our community and are trying our best to meet those needs,” he said. “For example, our first child therapist filled up quickly and we had to start a wait list which we were trying to avoid. We now have two more therapists coming on board who can see children.”

Topsfield Fair weather on demand
NORTH ANDOVER — 1 DegreeOutside weather network will be the full digital sponsor of the annual Topsfield Fair.
This year’s fair runs from Oct. 4-14 at the Topsfield Fairgrounds on Route 1.
“Over the coming weeks, this exciting partnership will see the Topsfield Fair’s presence integrated seamlessly across our entire platform including our website, app, and video forecasts connecting directly with our loyal and growing audience,” said meteorologist Matt Noyes, whose wife Danielle is also a meterologist with 1 DegreeOutside. They live and work in the Merrimack Valley.
Starting two weeks before the Fair, 1 DegreeOutside will provide a 14-day forecast for the Topsfield Fair in select videos. As the fair kicks off on Oct. 4, 1DegreeOutside will include daily forecasts in videos, and will produce custom video forecasts designed specifically for fair-goers on TopsfieldFair.org.
The couple explained the fair’s sponsorship means that 1DegreeOutside remains free and accessible to everyone.
According to Noyes, “Support from organizations like the Topsfield Fair ensures that we can continue to deliver the accurate, timely weather forecasts you rely on – without the need to charge for access. This partnership allows us to enhance our offerings, ensuring we can bring you even more of the content you love, all while keeping our platform ad-supported, not user-supported.”

Lawrence dentist honored for volunteering
LAWRENCE — The Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS) and the Journal of the Massachusetts Dental Society are honoring Lawrence dentist and North Andover resident Joseph Beninato, DMD, as the 2024 William McKenna Volunteer Hero.
A member of the MDS and the Merrimack District Dental Society with a general dental practice in Lawrence, Dr. Beninato has volunteered in a variety of capacities with the society. Most notably, he held several key roles with the Yankee Dental Congress, the premier dental meeting in the United States for dental professionals.
This recognition, named in honor of the late Dr. William McKenna — one of the founders of the Yankee Dental Congress and a model of volunteerism within the Society — is the Society’s way of thanking members who go above and beyond.
Dr. Beninato said he believes volunteering has made him a more well-rounded dentist.
“It has given me a better view of the different aspects that affect my practice. These, in turn, carry over to experiences in your personal life. The information gained from these experiences can be shared with staff and patients for a more fulfilling career,” he explained.
