DANVILLE — The Lansing Community College boys basketball team was able to advance in the Consolation Bracket of the NJCAA Division II National Tournament as they defeated South Suburban College 92-86 in overtime.
Zander Woodruff had 25 points to lead the Stars, while Ben Smith had 15 points, Jameer Autry had 12 points and six rebounds off the bench and DeAire Lee had 10 rebounds.
AJ Abrams had 32 points, five assists and four steals for the Bulldogs, while Tanner Fields had 20 points, Samar Bures had 13 and Angel Edmondson had 11 points and 12 rebounds.
The Stars are 26-8 and will play at 11 a.m. in the consolation bracket, while the Bulldogs’ season ends at 27-7.
