DANVILLE — After losing to Parkland on Monday, the Johnson County men’s basketball team battled back in consolation play on Wednesday.
The Cavaliers defeated Coastal Alabama-North 77-59 to move on in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.
Joey Robinson had 19 points to lead Johnson County, while Tavian Cruse had 13 points with six rebounds and three assists, while Bryce Walker had 13 points and seven rebounds and Aidan Wing had 12 points.
Elijah Pippins had 17 points with six assists and three steals for the Coyotes, while Bryce Wilkins had 15 points and 11 rebounds.
The Cavaliers are 30-2 and will play Schoolcraft on Friday in consolation bracket play, while the Coyotes end the season with a 25-11 record.
