ROBINSON — Lorenzo McMillion had only one double-digit contest in his first four collegiate basketball game.
The freshman from Davidson Academy in Nashville, Tenn. had scored 24 points this season with his season-high 11 against Moraine Valley on Nov. 11.
That all changed Tuesday night at Lincoln Trail College.
McMillion scored a career-best 30 points — with 21 of those coming in the second half — as the Jaguars defeated the Statesmen 80-76.
Freshman Darius Davis had his second straight double-digit performance for DACC this season with a career-best 24 after having 18 last week in a win over Rend Lake.
McMillion and Davis were the only players in double figures for the Jaguars, who have won four straight since an opening-game loss to Kalamazoo Valley on Nov. 4.
Caden Huttenlocker had a team-high 25 points for Lincoln Trail, while Devin Belle chipped in with 12 and Jordan Moore finished with 10.
Danville Area Community College (4-1) will host Lake Land College next Tuesday at the Mary Miller Gymnasium.
