DANVILLE — The Danville Area Community College Men’s Basketball team are two games away from a national championship.
The No. 7 Jaguars were able to eliminate No. 2 Palm Beach State 72-53 in quarterfinal play at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament at the Mary Miller Center.
Jeremy Wilson had 18 points to lead the Jaguars, while Jerimiah Poniewaz had 16 points with seven assists and four steals and Elijah Stark had 11 points and six rebounds.
Marvin Goff had 20 points for Palm Beach, while Jovan Palvra had seven points and three assists and Rickjerlin Senior Feliz had six points, 14 rebounds and two steals.
The Jaguars are 27-4 and will play either Milwaukee Area Technical or Parkland on Friday at 8 p.m. The Panthers are 33-2 and will play in the consolation bracket on Friday at 1 p.m.
