Several authors will be returning for this year’s Author Day on April 13. They will be at the Art Circle Public Library, 3 East Street, Crossville, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
Tom Catalano is an award-winning author of 13 books of fiction and poetry. Some titles are for adults while others are for younger readers. His genre includes poetry, science fiction and psychological suspense. Catalano’s poetry takes a lighthearted look at everyday events.
Carol Grieshop, a long-time resident of Lake Tansi, was inspired to write a mystery novel (Genealogy 101: Never Assume Murder) about a professional genealogist after attending the Spring Festival in Rugby, TN, where her novel is set, several years ago. She has written articles published in an international magazine as well as a piece published in a University of South Florida journal.
Gregg Gregg Brickman was born in North Dakota. She completed her education in Florida and embarked on a varied career in clinical, administrative and academic nursing. She resides with her husband, Steve, on the Northern Cumberland Plateau in Middle Tennessee. Some of her works in “Imperfect Protest,” “Imperfect Friendship” and “Imperfect Escape.”
Nancy Snow-Hise, writing as Nina Frost-Teller, is a common woman that you may not notice when she passes you on the street. Inside her is a lifetime of joy, pain, and uncommon hope in the saving grace of Jesus. Nancy and her husband share a southern home with acreage in northeast Tennessee. Their family is scattered widely across the U.S. and Canada.
Suni Nelson grew up in Crossville and graduated from Cumberland County High School. After graduating she moved around the country and worked in the travel industry. She had always enjoyed writing and her dream of writing a novel seemed “daunting.” Finally, the dream came true in her book, “Listen While You Can.”
Rita Reali has been a writer about as long as she can remember. She’s a two-time international award-winning author and longtime editor. As a former disc jockey in her native Connecticut, Reali used to spend her days “talking to people who weren’t there” — a skill which transferred perfectly to her being an author. Now she talks to characters who aren’t there on “a little chunk of heaven in rural Tennessee,” where she lives with her husband and two rescue cats.
Authors interested in reserving a table for the event should contact Nancy Mitchell at nancy.lyn@hotmail.com and use Author Day 2024 Participation Request in the subject line. There is no cost to participate and authors keep proceeds from any sales.
