ROWLEY — The Rowley Library presents “A Morning of Insight Meditation: Instruction and Practice,” Saturday, Sept. 14, at 9:30 a.m. at the library. Open to both beginners and experienced meditators.
Meditation can be understood as the art of bringing full, conscious attention to the present moment, just as it is. In today’s culture, this is a tall order. Instructor Ted Jones will guide participants in a silent retreat format to calm the mind through attention to the sensations of breath and movement, then expand the focus to demonstrate the potential to experience life more fully. Meditation periods will be guided with instructions, and there will be ample time reserved for questions and discussion.
Registration is required — space is limited! For more information or to sign up, visit rowleylibrary.org/calendar or call the library at 978-948-2850.
The Rowley Library is located at 141 Main St. in Rowley.
