Crossville attorney Matthew McClanahan is among the Tennessee Tech University alumni who will address more than 1,000 fall graduates via a prerecorded message during commencement ceremonies.
The fall commencement ceremonies will be Friday, Dec. 12, in Hooper Eblen Center.
The morning ceremony starts at 9 and will include the College of Agriculture and Human Ecology, the College of Business, the College of Engineering and the College of Fine Arts.
The afternoon ceremony, which starts at 2, will include the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Education and Human Sciences, the College of Emerging and Integrative Studies and the Whitson-Hester School of Nursing.
Students from the College of Graduate Studies will be seated at both ceremonies based on their field of study.
Fall 2025 graduates encompass students from 76 counties throughout Tennessee, 25 states and 12 other countries. Those earning undergraduate degrees represent 50 fields of study, and those receiving graduate degrees represent 36 fields of study.
The birth dates of students from the fall class of 2025 range from 1959-2006.
McClanahan, a 2011 Tech graduate, also serves as an adjunct instructor in the School of Agriculture. He received the Alumni Association’s 2025 Outstanding Young Alumnus award.
