Get ready to jump, run, and power-up for the First Fridays 5k Super Run and Walk on April 4. This Mario-themed race promises fun for all ages with exciting challenges, costumes, and the chance to win cash prizes and medals.
Registration is now open at www.FirstFridaysDanville.com. The cost to participate is $10, with kids under 5 participating for free. The day of the event registration opens at 5 p.m. with the race kicking off at 6 p.m.
Official 5K Super Run t-shirts are for sale for $15.
Before the race begins, get warmed up with fun activities and show off your Mario spirit in the costume contest! Cheerful Power-Up teams will be lining the route to keep participants energized as they race through Downtown Danville.
Food trucks will be available at the event.
Those not wishing to race can grab friends and be a part of a Power-Up Team to keep the support and energy alive along the route. Sign up at www.FirstFridaysDanville.com.
For the safety of the participants, roads will be closed from 5:30-8 p.m. on April 4. Refrain from moving barricades and plan an alternative route for travel during these times.
