MANKATO — A Mankato woman faces multiple felony drug charges after authorities said she sold 20 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant with the Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force and was later arrested with about 40 more grams during a traffic stop.
Vanessa Yvonne Guerra, 31, was charged in Blue Earth County District Court with first-degree drug sale and second-degree drug possession. After the 20-gram purchase from the informant Feb. 10, authorities pulled her over and arrested her March 2, according to the criminal complaint.
During a search, agents located a small bag containing suspected methamphetamine. Guerra also reportedly admitted concealing about 36 grams of methamphetamine on her person.
Investigators reported that three baggies containing a white crystalline substance found on Guerra field-tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed about 40 grams combined. The complaint states she had been on her way to sell them.
