Mankato school district certifies next year’s tax levy

MANKATO — The Mankato Area School Board certified its 2025-26 school year tax levy Monday evening.
The levy is proposed at $36,565,577 and is a 0.86% decrease from last year.
Taxpayers living in a $300,000 home — the average in the district — are estimated to pay $1,065 a year.
Counties have mailed a notice of proposed property taxes to all property owners.
