MANKATO — Beginning Sunday, Mankato’s Public Transit System will no longer serve Eagle Lake residents. They will, however, be able to book a ride to Mankato or North Mankato through TRUE Transit.
TRUE Transit is the public transportation system for Blue Earth, Nicollet and Le Sueur counties. The system has been providing rides to Eagle Lake residents since 2016; however, due to public transit funding, the organization was restricted from duplicating rides provided by Mankato Public Transit.
TRUE Transit provides dial-a-ride service between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays. Rides are $5 each way.
