MANKATO — A Mankato man has been sentenced to just over seven years at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud following a sexual misconduct conviction.
Anthony Paris Wilson, 30, was convicted Aug. 3 in Blue Earth County District Court on a fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct charge involving a minor. Though he was sentenced to over seven years, the sentencing order states Wilson has about a year’s worth of credit for time already served.
The conviction stems from his involvement with a minor, including continued contact with the victim after a previous sexual assault charge. The 2021 offense involved sexual activity between Wilson, 25 years old at the time, and a 13-year-old girl, according to the court records. In December 2023 the girl reported further sexual misconduct by Wilson when she was 15 and he was 27, prompting the latest conviction.
