MANKATO — Mankato Clinic Foundation has announced its second-quarter grant recipients. The foundation approved $48,982 to community organizations in its effort to support health and wellness in the region, a Mankato Clinic press release said.
Second-quarter grant recipients are:
Greater Mankato Area United Way — $12,500 for its Youth Mental Health Navigator program
B the Light — $10,000 for programming for women through the breast cancer journey
Wellcome Manor Family Services — $7,500 for its parenting program
Greater Minnesota Trauma Center — $5,000 for its family support program
American Red Cross — $5,000 for blood services and equipment in Mankato
Loyola Catholic School $3,695 for fourth graders to attend a kindness retreat
Mankato Area Zero Waste — $2,487 for organics recycling and educational events
Blue Earth County Library — $1,800 for a summer learning program
Junior Achievement North — $1,000 for its BizTown for Greater Mankato schools.
Mankato Clinic physicians provide the majority of the foundation funding as a way to give back and support organizations that strive to improve health and wellness in the communities they serve. In the last 10 years, the Mankato Clinic Foundation has provided more than $2 million in scholarships and grants to worthwhile organizations and programs.
The next grant application deadline is June 1.
